you can bypass it by just removing the word "Mozilla" from your user agent by the way, i just wish there was a way to automate that

5 years ago we would be criticizing anubis for being a hidden cryptominer, impressive that now we just put up with it

it's not that much more coherent or closer to finding a solution yet but i started a forum thread about this: forums.transbian.love/?page=th

negative

everything i want to do to myself costs more money than i can possibly hope to have and hearing other people getting to have the procedures just makes me jealous and bitter instead of happy for them

Does anyone have opinions about SourceHut? From my limited research, it seems much more ethical for source code hosting in a number of different ways than GitHub and GitLab.

the problem i have with 2000s retro computing (surprise, it's mostly how the internet changed):

look up "junkbot" in 2005: you get a link to play junkbot

look up "junkbot" today: an entire page of just "remember junkbot?" without a single way to play it (inb4 flashpoint, yes i know, but it won't work on my xp pentium 4)

i know it's just how times moved on and i can't expect the internet to stay still, but... i'll try to elaborate my words better in a longer post

@aloe finally a societal landscape suitable for a game about finding a witch's cat in the alps

how do i search the 2025 internet for "screensavers that work on windows xp" as opposed to "windows xp screensavers" which results in "3d flying text nostalgia churn"

"you're not supposed to feel bad when you're not being productive that's capitalism speaking" and "you're depressed when all you do is consume because you were designed to create" both heading towards each other at 80mph who wins

getting hays code and hayes code mixed up and wondering why so many people are upset at computer modems

a mood which is not a good one, safely metaphorical

wanting to crack open one's skull not in a self harming way but in a desperate attempt at searching inside for something like you would do forgotten suitcases deep in a closet
