and this is how i learned why i should never again try to correct an older person who uses transsexual or transwoman without the space for herself
do still correct cis people on that second one though.
people don't like it when older queers distance themselves from minors saying that we're the ones driving a wedge in the community but being told that the thing we've been doing, the names *we've been* for years is wrong, like we don't know our own queerness, is disingenuous
i should not be asked to put up with people younger than me spouting harassment because of my identity, or what flags i use, let alone death threats to the people denouncing them for falling for TERF rhetoric
there's a lot of opinions wrt the queer infighting abt labels & flags, how it exists because of a generational divide between people over / under 18, and i understand that work needs to be done to create a place that accommodates everybody to learn about our roots better. However
