when i last talked about this when my fiancée linked a kitchen appliance shop website from the UK that i couldn't see for the same reason, someone asked me "what? does it happen that often?"
yes. yes it does
(and if i get it running on this kernel there's no guarantee it'll work on the stock 4.4 kernel)
i have never used tic-80 but someone asked if the pocketchip can run it and now i'm half-tempted to try compiling it but their cmake system seems like a mess
yeah no shit i don't want to release my code, with the attitude they have after i say i won't
can someone send me one of these please https://soranews24.com/2024/03/19/whole-boxes-of-mystery-meat-going-on-sale-in-japan-cup-noodle-fans-rejoice/
nowadays you want to change like, i don't know, the size of your icons on your desktop and you have to fight against 10 different conf files ones less documented than the other
i had angstrom linux running on an hp ipaq a few months ago and that was the most fun i had with a linux system in about a decade
man i look at screenshots of old linux porting projects (like https://linux-7110.sourceforge.net/screenshots.shtml) and it's so crystal clear to me that today linux simply is no longer a fun (or even for the most part functional, highly depending on your hardware and usecase) system
if linux was still freely customizable and quirky like this i would still like it today, imo
