jeez! i thought i'd received a dead pico2w (didn't test it before installing the shim, mea culpa) but no! you need to press the power button on the shim even without a battery and plugged into usb, then the pico works as intended!
guhh i would really have liked if this grove connector wasn't on this side of the board, probably going to remove it and solder straight to pads
the height (and the added width if i was using a grove cable) would make designing a case around it awkward

Another cool discovery today. Completely by accident found a manual for some third-party Apple Lisa software.
I guess this makes sense, although Lisa was so unpopular I never ever even thought of non-Apple software for it.
But here we go, desktop publishing software for the poor Lisa!

i think our computers here in 2025 are almost identical to the ones we had in 2000, in terms of what its like to use them and what we can do
