@mawr I used to dislike it, preferring the original radioplays, but my opinion has been shifting. Possibly I have been judging the books by overly conventional standards...

...also I can't ignore the age at which I woke

@eris@awoo.space @kel @kara_dreamer Indeed! That is rather good to hear. A lot of minor actors are really not quite bad, but they're usually not given a chance to show it off.

@OsirisSaline@awoo.space Oh! Ahem...whinny, I think, is the appropriate response from me?

All right, @kara_dreamer, I am giving you until 9:30 to goof off and then we need to decide on more productive activities for the day. I suggest that you call your therapist.

Also, put your collar on and have your timer ready. You need every reminder you can get today.

Food

@bstacey I award you a Pearl Point for using "essay" in this fashion.

Sex talk, virginity

@Kyna "Virginity" exists so that insecure men can have a class of person they're not fearful of fucking.

@admin? this seems like quite unusual behaviour for computerfairi.es, and it's started only this morning computerfairi.es/media/8dpFn6v

@GinnyMcQueen@kitty.town It is hard for me to avoid the suspicion that Twitter's awfulness is quite deliberate. Has not "Jack" Whatisname been caught favorably reposting white supremacist material? I suspect that he wants Twitter to become a quivering, perpetually enraged nerve-center of right-wing extremism, the social medium equivalent of right-wing talk radio.

Putting out another reminder that I'm in search of affordable housing in or very near Seattle.

Sooner I find some place the better, so I no longer have to endure my landlord sending me listings and suggesting I'm not trying hard enough to leave (and that I'm being too picky when I limit my search to places where I can trust my roommates won't flip out on me for being transgender.)

@skquinn I suppose not? The difficulty is that the Wachowskis end up trying to top their first film's action set-pieces with even more outre ones, and so you end up with rather silly stuff like the first fight between multiple Smiths and Neo in "Reloaded" and the ending fight between Neo and Smith in "Revolutions" that seems to go on for about 45 minutes.

"The Matrix" is at its best when it approximates the feel of a horror movie, and at its weakest when it goes for pure action. The sequels are almost all action, and therefore less interesting.

@Elizafox I like bits of the second but, eh. Smith is comical and that's bad

@Elizafox Not to be confused with the nauseating pop star Michael Jolton
