are there any git tools out there that use the reflog in an unusual or creative way, for example to show you an animation of your branch's history?
been thinking about how the reflog has a lot of useful information in it, but by itself it's SUCH an unfriendly interface. Feels like people must be trying to build nicer interfaces on top of it.

I find I can avoid⁷ most³ parentheses by using footnotes¹ 🤷♂️
¹) many people² appear to find footnotes irritating⁴, but they don't break up the reading flow as much as parentheses do.
²) or at least the ones I talked to about this. There may well be a sampling bias here.
³) maybe even all? I can't really think of a counter example, but might well be missing something somewhere.
⁴) "irritating" may not be the best word here - there's a perception of pretentiousness about footnotes⁶ that parentheses don't seem to convey.
⁵) This footnote isn't even referenced anywhere. You found it anyways. Yay, you!
⁶) Probably owing to the difficulty of inserting and tracking them before computers took most of that burden from us.
⁷) Or better "replace".

@rgb Lol, yeah. She's 20 years old, though, and had plenty of opportunities to learn other programming languages. She's doing Universal Learner Courses at Arizona State University and decided, on her own, to take a programming course. Only too late we learned why the language being taught wasn't listed in the description 😂
