musing about "signs" kids are trans

@FirstProgenitor yeah some trans forums kinda start being sexist and it really bothers me a lot. I've seen people call guys (at least, that's how they identify at the time) wearing dresses or nailpolish or whatever "trans women in denial" or slang for it and it really weirds me out. It's so sexist and also very invalidating to any gnc trans people. Trans guys who wear dresses seeing posts about how guys wearing dresses are just women in denial would feel pretty invalidated.

Same thing for trans women. An amab person wearing jeans and flannel is no more of a guy than one that wears makeup. There's plenty of masculine trans women and it's so sexist and shit to push this narrative on other people.

My girlfriend wore nailpolish before she knew that she was trans. Her parents thought she wore nailpolish because she was trans, but she just liked it. Her being trans was unrelated.

musing about "signs" kids are trans

a lot of times when a trans person talks about how they shouldve known they were trans sooner, i dont let it bother me because you know, whatever someone needs to realize theyre trans is valid, and different things validate peoples genders differently and its completely dependent on the person

now when a trans person expects OTHER people to have known because of those actions,, then i get a little squinty.

like yea 90% of my friends in high school were dudes and i played a lot of video games but i would never say my mom shouldve known i was trans because of that. plenty of cis women do that. i refuse to invalidate them by expecting this to be so abnormal as to say its a "sign" that someone is a boy

sees a soft butch girl or a soft futch girl or a soft femme girl

melts

Girl: why is u puddle?

Me: :blobcatmelt:

Like, she/her pronouns? Love 'em, great, never wanna go back. Calling myself a girl or a woman? A little weird when I say it out loud with my man voice but still workable. Calling myself transgender? Hang on have I earned that one?

Gender

But I don't feel like a girl
"But you do want to be a girl, right?"
Sure, but what if it's not for the right reason?
"There's no wrong reason."
Okay, but what if I don't want it /enough/?
"Wanting it at all is enough."

i want to see a pokemon fan game where you play as a pokemon who stole a trainer's hat

and discover that nobody can tell you're a pokemon as long as you're wearing the hat

the professor offers you a starter pokemon and you just kind of bat at one of the pokeballs with a paw, so they say "the strong silent type, yeah? some of the most powerful trainers in the world were the same way"

you fight the first gym leader by placing a pokeball down with your mouth and pressing the button, and your opponent is wowed by your eccentric technique

and the whole game continues that way until your hat gets knocked off in the middle of the battle with the champion

Self-harm, question :boost_ok:

So, after a bit over a month clean, the urge to start beating myself is returning. Does anyone know any good alternatives for the *sensation*? I'm looking for something like how with cutting you can snap rubber bands against your wrist. Something that gives me that same feeling as beating myself would, without being as self-destructive.

(Please don't just tell me to hit a punching bag or do something else or whatever. That's not what I'm looking for right now.)

i think sharing some older #inktober work would be a good place to start 😊 i followed a witchtober prompt. started october 2016 and finished july 2017!

all pieces were created using a dip pen (513ef nib), black sumi ink, two or three gray copic markers, and white bristol paper.
