So, after a bit over a month clean, the urge to start beating myself is returning. Does anyone know any good alternatives for the *sensation*? I'm looking for something like how with cutting you can snap rubber bands against your wrist. Something that gives me that same feeling as beating myself would, without being as self-destructive.

(Please don't just tell me to hit a punching bag or do something else or whatever. That's not what I'm looking for right now.)

i think sharing some older #inktober work would be a good place to start 😊 i followed a witchtober prompt. started october 2016 and finished july 2017!

all pieces were created using a dip pen (513ef nib), black sumi ink, two or three gray copic markers, and white bristol paper.

Today goes out to our elders, who've lost friends and family to AIDS and carry their memories like scars

To those of us lucky and resilient enough to survive in a world that hates us, I say thank you for showing us that there is hope and that collectively we can live.

To those daring enough to take their first steps out of the metaphorical closet, I say I will protect you and I will be with you every step of the way.

To those whose names are not yet known and might never be, I say I love you and I see you, and I will fight for you.

To those who would rather see us dead than happy, those for whom our existence is a topic of debate, to the doctors, lawmakers, and chasers, I will come for you. We will come for you.

Today we remember those of us who couldn't make it. We remember that our very existence is radical and powerful. That our bodies, our minds, and our souls are beautiful.
