The Phone Co-op is a cooperative phone company in the UK. They have helpful customer service, offer discounts to pensioners and never try to upsell people stuff.
I used to have vodaphone and a bunch of extra "packages" that were crap, like an add on for cheaper roaming in the EU, which they didn't when the EU got rid of roaming charges.
Anyway, cancelling vodaphone was easy for me because I'm still alive and not vulnerable. Tkae advantage of this while you can. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jul/28/sadmin-mother-death-vodafone

@Nine *laughs in sarcasm* :)
@Nine The shooting is around average, but the setting and ideas are next level :)
If you're a UK citizen or resident, you can add your voice for a real conversion "therapy" ban that doesn't leave out trans people. (Current tally just under 90,000 in one weekend)
@Nine Yeah, I've taken to adding an arrow (if none are already embossed) (using Tipp-Ex) noting the flow of air on each fan, so it's easy at a glance to get the flow of air right.
And my hardware is a lot lower spec than yours, so you need that tip more than I do :)
@Nine Too busy powering their computers?
Does anyone on the #fediverse have any job contacts in West Texas?
A trans woman on my team is looking for new work and she's struggled to find jobs because, well, West Texas. I'm trying to help her find remote or local gigs related to 3D modeling or animation.
Boosts welcome and encouraged
@Nine You did indeed break my brain
"I noticed that firmware dump for vintage synth can be incredibly hard to come by unless you know exactly where to look. Most of the time, if you are looking to upgrade or repair your favourite synth, you might find some firmware buried deep in synth forum's while some other seems to only be available by buying very overpriced preprogramed EPROM chip from sellers on eBay. This is my attempt at resolving the situation and making as many firmware dumps as possible freely available for everyone."

calling in vs calling out oppressive behaviour
Calling in: sending an email or talking in probate to someone about something they did/said
Calling out: doing it in public
Which one should you choose?
Before you call in or call out, ask yourself:
- Who has the power in this situation? If you, call in
- Am I calling out a person or a systemic behaviour? If the system, call out
- How much energy and emotional labor can I share? If not much, call them in with someone who does
- Will they probably change their problematic behaviour? If no, call out
- Who is in the room?
- What do I want to accomplish?

@Nine But that's what its code-base stipulates.
