health (-)

welp. i pretty much messed myself over by jumping into work and trying to keep up with things

looks like i'm out of commission for a while. with friends like myself, i def don't need enemies

@drzaiusx11 oh geeze, i hate it when that kind of thing happens

good luck, tbh!

@dfstarshine hiii! welcome to the place with fairies in computers! nice to have you :o

Seattle traffic is absolutely soul draining

Brexit, humor

Best line of the day, seen on a forum I frequent:

“We're witnessing a reenactment of the "I'm altering the deal" scene from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, with Mr. Bean playing the part of Darth Vader.”

@kioskwitch agreed tbh

i found both the show and the books to be pretty bad tbh

@behold3r you mean a mouse jumping around isn't the gay agenda? :O

tho, tbh - can always add more rainbows...

i work on social media a lot throughout the day (ugh) and like, I'm realizing something maybe obvious about generational conflict.

I think baby boomers might be best characterized by an adversarial lifestyle. Not even just the big stuff or by being openly hateful. I mean like, they consider success as a "victory." Being the toughest, the smartest, the most wily.

And that's my explanation for why old people are so obsessed with getting away with abusing coupons. Thank you and goodnight

Oh hey! #Sentry, my employer, has an Open Source grant that you can apply for: https://blog.sentry.io/2019/01/29/apply-sentry-open-source-grant

"Contributing to open source full-time is an opportunity not available to everyone. We’d like to change that with the Sentry Open Source Grant, which offers funding to an individual dedicated to working on an open source project for three months."

@TheHottestPotato tbh, i feel this mood as well... ive been a lot more limited due to concussion stuff

Is it just me or does http:// look so naked compared to https://

victory levels are currently at 81% but fluctuating wildly

Wise words.

My people don't talk about it. We be about it. No justice, no peace.

cold, clinical interpretations of data fall short of effective outcomes when they're applied to the human situation

simple cost benefit calculations are the lifeblood of authoritarian, capitalist regimes and should not be considered an effective way to make decisions in any environment where lives can be altered and suffering is possible

i need to ban "facts not feelings". it keeps getting thrown at me with the implication that i'm somehow hysterical.

there's this strange idea that facts are these immutable truths that can be trusted and relied on. but, facts without interpretation are often line noise when you're using them to look at complex situations.

it isn't hysterics to ask "what do the facts mean in the broader picture". it's nuance.

if i display emotions while thinking, this doesn't erase the validity of my arguments
