your daily reminder that the sudden elimination of a capitalist state will not address homophobia, racism, ableism, and other implicit biases

even if the revolution was tomorrow, we would still have work to do to get to an actually equitable world

one of the reasons that white anarchists frustrate me is this belief that if you topple the state, the goodness of people will float up and all that pesky racism stuff will melt away.

this is a dangerous belief. the revolution doesn't end at revolt.

i absolutely get furious every time billionaires are interviewed about a high tax rate. it's like, "billionaires don't want rich people to have their taxes increased! news at 11!" it's ridiculous.

what's even more ridiculous is that a 70 percent tax on incomes is somehow being called far left. no, that's not far left. far left is we seize the assets of the rich entirely. moderate left is a heavy increase in capital gains tax, tax on millionaires, and a partial asset based tax.

i think the primary "bad thing" about mastodon's twitter-like format is that you have to keep posting to stay relevant.
