the moment i left elementary school and found out that no, we would not be forced to write cursive the rest of our lives, i dropped it from my life entirely

@squirrel I re-learned it, but only to learn how to sign my new name when I changed it. It's the only cursive practice I've done since.

I totally want to get into calligraphy though; it's so pretty ;o;

@mawr calligraphy is hecka beautiful and i lack all of the coordination to do any of it

and the expensive pens too

@squirrel The coordination is something I lack as well; it takes so much practice to figure it out at all, and the honing it is... a lot of work >..>

The pens aren't crazy expensive; some of them are, of course... but a decent starter set of pens and ink will set you back about $50. Then it's just dumping time and effort into the learning.

@squirrel @mawr expensive for a pen all together

then again I just buy 20 packs of pilot g2s

@troubleMoney @mawr i buy,,,,, whatever i find the cheapest at the stationery shops

like, ink pens just aren't for me. first of all i hardly ever write things down ever ever, second of all i do not have the patience to work my calligraphy up to justify buying a pen that costs more than a few cents

i love what y'all can do with them, but it's just not for me. at most i buy cutesy colored pens i lie to myself that ill draw with but they're just sitting there
