this is with the presonus universal control already installed. official drivers. and on linux it didn't have this problem. fuck y ou

Show thread

whenever windows stops playing sounds it forgets that the audiobox exists, and if you try to play anything else, it freezes like it's frantically trying to find a sound card on your computer

as long as you keep playing any sort of noise to keep the audiobox entertained and not bored enough to wander away, it'll work, but if you stop sending audio to it for even a few seconds, then you need to replug it in WHILE trying to play noise, otherwise it does not register at all

really hate how windows 10 does not work well with the audiobox usb unless i keep unplugging and replugging it

had none of these issues on linux

@cambertian didn't Ken Silverman use watcom? could find something useful in the build sources

random mastodon doodle i dunno

ghost feeling good about themselves

it's 5am and the fire alarm went off and we all had to stand out in the cold but it was ook and now i'm trying to get back to sleep selfie

@envgen hey you're cute ok bye

@tinybarks@meows.life @InspectorCaracal i think i could make it not as horrible if i could change contrast and brightness but this monitor has no osd and does it all via software and my current computer has no vga out only hdmi, and the data is not carried over the passive converter

@tinybarks@meows.life @InspectorCaracal closest i can show the difference with a phone camera, the colour distortion in my desktop monitor is slightly not as bad to the eye

behind is desktop monitor, on the front is the thinkpad computerfairi.es/media/Jn8XHTa

i can finally leave my lamps plugged into usb again...

@nyanuri not sure. this is a problem i will have to solve later, sorry

@InspectorCaracal yeah i wish i could do that with the dev instance because pushing any changes to the prod server means a 10 minute downtime

too bad i wasted money on a new psu i probably didn't really need since the problem was my motherboard, and not towards a new screen

see, on proper screens computer fairies' column backgrounds look almost black

but on my shitty screen, the way i intended it to look, they're a visible dark purple

@InspectorCaracal i'll look into it when i don't have 2 uni assignments to deliver by the end of the next week

@InspectorCaracal mmm yeah but

our custom.scss is an addon

it's not a standalone theme
