hope i can upgrade computer fairies without killing it

i don't like upgrading because it takes upwards of 20 minutes on a docker instance and i don't know how to backup docker databases so every time i upgrade computer fairies it could be gone forever

i guess i'll have to upgrade to 1.6 now if everyone's gonna be talking about it all day

mastodon as a software and as a project ethos has zero regard for people who want to delete all their toots and start over on their same old handle. if you delete your account you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET YOUR OLD HANDLE BACK WITHOUT BREAKING FEDERATION AND THE LOCAL INSTANCE DATABASE

i hate arguing with mastodevs on github they act so mighty and all knowing and it's always people i never even see on the public timeline so like do they even use the software
