sorry i'm spamming about an old laptop because i'm really happy at the lucky ebay find it was. but i mean like. i guess some people spam about worse things and you knew what you were getting into when you followed this account

a 1.6ghz core2duo with 2gb ram is still more capable than modern software would lead you to believe

youtube runs without stutter in the background while krita is running so i can turn this into a drawing workstation with the ability to listen to music meanwhile

very happy with it

mastodon works well on firefox quantum on this thing

heck i could probably turn it into my daily driver ????? it's not like i'm using the entirety of the i5 processor on my main laptop for much when i'm with it at class

keys feel nicer too, i only feel the lack of a touchpad

let's bring back music without caring about theory

what's a c7

Yeah ok verdict is xubuntu 16.04 runs way better and the wacom stuff runs out of the box, i just have no way of calibrating the tablet and I'm afraid of upgrading packages and getting the 17.10 bugs reintroduced

but at least i can draw now

it's 2017 and everything looks so big an unwieldy in 1024x768

xubuntu is on the thinkpad now. i think tablet is very slightly off but i can't calibrate because it doesn't have wacom settings for that. let's see how krita works here

ran a smart short test on the hard drive this thing came with, completed without errors, has about 5000 hours on it

really not bad

just feeling

super unmotivated and useless tonight, huh

is there a way to remove that from linux

ssh, desktop managers, everything that takes a password

it's infuriating

is there a non-psychological reason for linux to wait a second to tell you your password is wrong

can i just like.

can someone tell me what to put in the damn thinkpad if i want to use it for drawing and web browsing.

ubuntu 17 runs fine on it but the wacom drivers on the install are trash. the ones (which seem incomplete/non-existent? detects tablet settings doesn't detect stylus settings) on the liveusb work but i don't know how to revert the install to the liveusb mode.

until someone gives a better answer i'll be trying xubuntu 16

distro seller i am going into computer battle give me the strongest distros you've got
