I've been on the "modern web" enough that i remember a video from 11 years ago of a guy so angry at people making crappy quality videos with their webcams he made an angry "guide" on how to just buy a minidv camera and a FireWire card to record your youtube videos with since those were higher quality

a few years later phones with cameras started being commonplace

how eerie that just a day or so after i start watching the twilight zone with @LaserScheme, @rodserlingzone shows up

what do you guys use to record videos for mastodon and post them all from a phone? i have to record them on the camera app, resulting video is like 60mb, then i have to send it to myself on telegram so it compresses it down to 4mb or so

is there an easier way please
