looks like i left #minecraft october 8th 2009 immediately after someone discussing "hacked clients" with me used the argument that i'm an idiot

this was during a time when everybody was praising notch for making minecraft, then at its infancy, while other people hacked away their own custom servers to implement new and interesting features. WoM (world of minecraft) was one of the biggest communities dedicated to such features, including flying (now in creative mode) and building with an artistic intent

Hey guys. I just want to tell you, as admin of one of the longest standing Minecraft servers (since June 4 or so IIRC), I hate what you are doing to the community. Openly distributing hacks, regardless of legality, is deplorable and is ruining the game. In my opinion, you guys should not only be ashamed of yourselves but should reconsider your actions and issue an apology to the community at large. From all those who agree with me, here's a big "fuck you" to WoM and all its admins

reading irc logs from my pre-egg years and wanting to slap my old self and say "no! you dumbass! stop that and be a better person!"

i sent them a message. if i see another post by them before i get a reply i'm muting them and considering silencing them cause i really dont want that on the ftl

i am uncomfortable muting people because as a community moderator i feel like i should be able to see everything that's happening in order to better provide a safe space. if i mute something harmful posts could be happening while i don't see them

should i ask micah to cw their suggestive topless men drawings or do i just mute then and move on because i'm the only one bothered that someone i follow boosts every single one of their posts
