feeling exceedingly bougie now that i've set up my new electric kettle
note: this is not a political statement, i'm just trying to keep up my neti pot rinses and not die of ameboid illnesses from tap water lol

okay, maybe a kettle with a temperature control is a bit, but only a little
@troubleMoney oh i got one that's like stainless steel with a fancy spout and has variable temperature control all the way from 104-212 F.
and not even for making tea. or pour over coffee. or any of the things it suggests. it's exclusively for sitting in my bathroom and boiling distilled water

@troubleMoney i might use it for hot cocoa from time to time when i don't feel like walking to the other end of the house tbh
complicating this: i am horridly american and all but the cheapest of electric kettles often end up feeling bougie as fuck because "why wouldn't you just microwave some water"

@troubleMoney we literally add so much sugar to it that it must be added while the tea is hot because otherwise we won't be able to get it to supersaturate in properly
