@wigglytuffitout nowt bougie about an electric kettle
okay, maybe a kettle with a temperature control is a bit, but only a little
@troubleMoney oh i got one that's like stainless steel with a fancy spout and has variable temperature control all the way from 104-212 F.
and not even for making tea. or pour over coffee. or any of the things it suggests. it's exclusively for sitting in my bathroom and boiling distilled water
Rather Bougie
@wigglytuffitout okay yeah that's a bit bougie, keep it in the kitchen and use it for tea and/or coffee occasionally to avoid the bougie-ness
@troubleMoney i might use it for hot cocoa from time to time when i don't feel like walking to the other end of the house tbh
complicating this: i am horridly american and all but the cheapest of electric kettles often end up feeling bougie as fuck because "why wouldn't you just microwave some water"
@wigglytuffitout microwave... water...?
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU YANKS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE TEA LIKE CIVILISED PEOPLE?!?!?
LAST TIME YOU TRIED MAKING IT IN A BLOODY HARBOUR!
THE WATER'S TOO COLD AND SALTY IN A HARBOUR YOU DAMNED COLONIALS!
@troubleMoney oh i can make this so much worse. so very very much worse.
i'm from the south
y'all ever heard a recipe for southern style sweet iced tea
@wigglytuffitout LALALALALALA NOT LISTENING!
@wigglytuffitout we made the right decision spending effort to keep india rather than you lot
@wigglytuffitout hey, sending criminals to areas filled with gators worked fine with australia!
@troubleMoney >australia >worked out fine
...ok they are slightly more competent than us but i think that's just natural selection. not EVERYTHING here is aiming to kill you, just SOME things
@troubleMoney i mean you shipped off your criminals to Savannah even after it was full of gators, idk what y'all expected to happen 😂
(also dang now i want some curry) (and garlic naan)
