well, #libremone and #purism are continuing to be run by "is this just them being hopelessly naiive, or is this some sort of malice"
i'd still think a "hey, we're sorry bout the screw-up" would be in order, as it now just leaves the rules stressing about how they totally will have moderators accepting reports from other instances hanging there awkwardly, smelling of an unfinished scandal.

listen, i may not be a tech wunderkid, but i've been around for awhile. "follow the rules or else. the rules are all unspoken and we're not going to elaborate more unless it's in private." ...is dodgy.
