if the plural of ox is oxen then the plural of brined salmon is loxen

@mavica I'm not sure how much of that is people not having seen those toots and how much it is their brains going "but it's twitter! you can't not be on twitter!"

@mavica it's always weird finally deleting an account

strange sense of finality about it even if you never use it

@mavica I mean, I quite like the idea of IRC and using it but that's because I'm weird and I'd never subject anyone else to that crap

NEW! FOR GAMERS! SHC LEDS!

That's right, Silver, Hazel, and Cyan!

Do they go together to make cool colours? No! BUT THEY'RE ALL ONE LETTER MORE THAN YOUR STANDARD PEDESTRIAN RGB!

@mplouffe@scholar.social as much as I like the black bay there are only so many of those you can be interested in

the explorer i is pretty nice, and I do like the oyster perpetual

only problem with those is that Sinn exists and the 556 scratches those itches nicely at a 6th of the cost

might not have an in-house movement or quite as much finishing but they're still damn nice

Food

@maloki@rage.love we used to call it eggy bread

creative lot aren't we?

@mplouffe@scholar.social I like the 16570 (the explorer ii before they made it 42mm) and the 16710 (gmt master ii pre-ceramic) but over their whole collection they've either changed nothing or made it less appealing to me since then

also they're way too much money, but that's beside the point

I'm expecting a blue bezel and dial submariner with either no date, or a new movement

it could conceivably be both but that's more innovation than I've come to expect from modern rolex

Rolex have announced that they're announcing something on the 1st of september

place your bets now on how minor a change it is to one of their existing models and how long the waitlist's going to be by lunchtime

Well this is delightful

The S.U.F. Helsinki Sarpaneva x Moomin

It's got a multi-layered dial with moomintroll on there! And the background is painted with multi-coloured superluminova so it glows wonderfully in the dark!

Unfortunately it's expensive (€5,000) and also entirely sold out but it is lovely

@mavica instructions unclear, accidentally opened ed

oh god how do I get out of ed?

@wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net zelda looking on in interest
