@Jo oh yeah
sadly they got icky GUI all over it and the new versions aren't cool
neg, money
@maple same
I'm sure that would be 100% my shit if I could afford spending $largeAmount on a switch and the game
@natalie@masto.ninja @iliana *MGS alert sound*
Shadowrun, explosives
@Jo I was doing a vietnam war themed GURPS one shot, had a bergen filled with explosives, objective was to destroy a vietcong camp in the middle of the jungle
They had an arms cache in the camp
I used so much explosive we were able to use the crater as a secondary LZ when the inevitable shit hit the fan and we couldn't make the primary for extraction
Shadowrun, explosives
@Jo if you need to be precise with where you put your explosives then you're not using enough of them
Okay. #mastoadmin commentary time.
I've written a quick guide, So You're A Mastodon Moderator: https://noelle.codes/so_youre_a_mastodon_moderator.pdf
My goal for this is threefold:
* I want to create a useful reference for moderators, so they know what options are available.
* I want to create a useful reference for /users/, so they know what the powers and limitations of being a moderator are.
* I want to help establish a /standard of moderation/, so we're all on a level playing field.
@Vann also let's make it so the entirety of the European Union can't see our website because we can't take 5 minutes to comply with regulations
@cheesegrits @cypnk 418 I'm a teapot
True facts: @maple doesn't use an alarm clock, she has a script on another computer that sends her a wake-on-LAN packet when it's time to wake up
@cypnk I think you may have just reinvented the teasmade there
@cypnk counterpoint: why the hell does your toaster need to be connected to the internet?
YouTube bullshit
@Jo yeah, it's one of those things where if someone says "just do this totally unintuitive random thing and it'll help" it sounds like complete and utter bullshit but the same action with why it works actually makes sense
@maple my gender is wiggly huggy tentacles
YouTube bullshit
@Jo works with some stuff
shorting the data lines on the device side will tell the device that it's a charging-only USB cable instead of a data cable, if the device thinks it's a data cable it'll obey the spec and only sip 500mA, if it's a charge cable it'll pull more current
Or at least that's how it used to be, I have no idea what things are like now with quickcharge and usb c and all that stuff
I'm pretty sure I've been making references to the fediverse being "Animal Crossing: the social network" from since then as well
@maple also the best in my opinion
Hedgehog wrangler, cat feeder, octopus whomst love smol critters
