Seriously, in one battle we lost 14 tanks, nine half-tracks, four gun carriers and two anti-tank guns because the crews were all outside having cups of tea

This was actually a real problem

Our tank crews kept getting shot because they got out of the tank to use a little stove to make tea any time they had a spare 5 minutes

Eventually the top brass just said "Fuck it, put a kettle inside the tank"

Reminder that British tanks are far better than other countries tanks because all of ours have kettles fitted so you can have a cup of tea in battle

Slightly regretting deleting my twitter account a while ago

Because now I can't post "TREBUCHET TERFS 2018" and get banned from there

I could make a new account to do that but it's just not the same, y'know?

"Where should we aim the missile Vlad?"
"I dunno Ivan, maybe this massive tower covered in antennas that doesn't officially exist but has a souvenir shop and a rotating restaurant"
"Yeah, probably that one Vlad"

Fun fact about Post Office Tower (aka BT Tower, Telecom Tower, and GPO Tower):

Its location was designated an official state secret as it was of considerable importance to the UK telecommunications network

This was despite the fact that it was a just under 200m tall building in the middle of London and was, at times, open to the public, with a restaurant at the top

Yeah, it wasn't until 1996 that anyone could legally tell you where it was
