unpopular makeup opinion:

i actually don't think every single bit of makeup needs to be vegan, and quite honestly i would rather have cochineal based pigment around my eyes than tones which have to be sold as "pressed pigment" with warnings to keep away from your eyes because they're made with red 40 and the FDA has not fully cleared it for use in eyeshadows

i don't think red 40 is unsafe mind you, but i do know that it does stain tae fuck lol

just give me some mushed up bugs it's fine.

@staticsafe@mastodon.zombocloud.com i'm sure that someone could (and probably has) done a full takedown of this with reference to monetization. i feel like free-to-play or fee-to-pay systems end up getting a whole lot more in on mental stress, and rather intentionally so, because so often the model is "how do we incentivize the player buying lootboxes/shortcuts/etc from our microtransaction shop?", but they're all too busy chasing whales than thinking of their average player. :T
