"Secret BBC filming exposes hidden culture of racism and misogyny inside Met Police"
Hidden?! You sure about that?
If you're wondering how people in Gaza are online, they are able to use Egyptian and Israeli mobile networks with donated eSIMs:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecting_Humanity
Apparently about 10% of Gazans have an eSIM through this org. Gaza is very thin (about 6-12 km wide) and has very long land borders so it's within range of multiple towers in neighbouring countries.
eSIMs don't require a physical SIM card, and phones are low power devices that can be charged through solar panels etc even when there is no mains power.

I gotta tell you I will take the whole furry/alternative/LGBTQ++ scene over LinkedIn absolutely any day of any week of any year of my entire life. For one thing the opsec is far far better.
@skyfire747 what an awful interpretation. you act like the teacher is completely abstracted in this metaphor, but the danger is not just "the rumor," it's the rumor spreader. in this story it's the teacher, today it's fascists spreading xenophobia, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. and back in salem it was the leaders of the witch trials.
if you knew anything about the history of the witch trials this would be glaringly obvious. the women designated as witches weren't arbitrary targets, randomly chosen to sow distrust, they were any women deemed too powerful, community leaders. the witch trials were a violent enforcement of patriarchy, so that the men leading the witch trials could claim more power.
rumor spreaders materially benefit from spreading rumors, they garner power through this mechanism. and i'm sorry to inform you but today's fascists aren't bipartisan, they're all on the right.
politics, "debating" fascists
the notion that the only proper way to defeat fascism is through "debating" them rests entirely on the idea that whatever fascists assert is assumed to be true unless proven otherwise.
marginalized ppl like me are constantly asked to endlessly jump through hoops to simply be allowed to exist, let alone allowed any rights.
it is never asked of a fascist to prove why their fascism is justifiable or rational first.
politics, "debating" fascists
and it can never be justifiable. because right-wing politics rests on ideas that, when you adhere to them, only serve to make other people suffer at the expense of whoever stands behind them.
but yet liberals and centrists still pretend as if those people are just "people with a different viewpoint" as though we all are arguing pizza toppings and not whether or not people like me get to live to see tomorrow
