joanne rowling info overview

ok so:
• jk rowling invited epstein to a children's play in 2018, a decade after he was already a known sex criminal
• she is lying about not doing it, but the emails to JE (besides the invitation itself) are written in her cadence with her signature
• this is the first time she has ever posted about epstein and has not threatened to sue anyone over this, despite suing for much less on a whim
• rowling's anti-trans prop started a month after this incident in 2018, starting with liking a transphobic tweet that was chalked up by her PR team as a "middle aged moment" . this campaign largely focused on the idea that children are being groomed through transness, while the epstein cabal was doing terrifying John money-esque experiments to kids
• epstein basically begged to meet her while she seems to claim this didn't happen
• emails with her publicist Peggy siegel describe him as a close personal friend [of siegel] while JE being accidentally discluded from an event ruined all of their [PS and JKR] nights
• JKR rallied online in support of Johnny depp
• JKR sent gifts to Marilyn Manson
• after her reveal in the files, the marine logs of her superyacht were wiped from marinetraffic, with people mentioning her docking at St Barts
- note: she did buy this yacht "samsara" in 2023, and people are treating it otherwise, although a decades worth of logs have in fact been wiped . it was previously owned by billionaire Brett Blundy . possible dead lead but I'd be elated to be proved otherwise
• graham lineham's twitter has gone private
• terf heads suddenly defending jeffery epstein en masse

JK Rowling / Bill Gates / Jeffrey Epstein / gross shitpost

Maybe she's in the Epstein files about Bill Gate's hog warts

Things that show you're getting old.
Saved up and got a new PC case that's much bigger, so would better fit my 3070 and still have tons of air flow.
Took around 2.5 hours and was so exhausting that I'm still shattered 4 hours later.
Hopefully sleeping will help.
But at least now I have a quieter system with plenty of room. Just wish there wasn't all those stupid LEDs on the fans.

Is this a good idea for a sticker?

I'd want to clean up the design if I were getting it printed, for sure

After watching Dankpods’s new video I wonder how nobody’s talking about Gigabyte purposefully crippling performance of their laptops if you boot Linux.

Either nobody’s buying their rubbish… or nobody noticed that if you add acpi_os_name="Windows 2021" to your kernel parameters you suddenly get much better performance.

hey, heads up. if you see one of those ads for a survey about trans people by AYAGDOS online, ob reddit, or anywhere, please don't take them. i researched the organization and it's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and J. Michael Bailey, transphobic scientists that want to undermine access to trans healthcare and mental health counseling. spread the word

Today in Labor History January 27, 1969: A group of African-American auto workers in Detroit led a wildcat strike against racism and poor working conditions. Dodge Revolutionary Union Movement (DRUM) began on July 8, 1968, when a group of Black autoworkers led a wildcat strike that partially shut down Chrysler Corporation’s Dodge Main plant in Hamtramck, Michigan. The movement sprang from a deep mistrust of the existing United Automobile Workers (UAW) union, and a strong anti-imperialist sensibility. DRUM was committed to building a revolutionary movement capable of challenging capitalist exploitation, union complacency, imperialism, and state violence. By 1969, the Revolutionary Union Movement had developed into the communist League of Revolutionary Black Workers.

Commander Vimes didn't like the phrase 'The innocent have nothing to fear', believing the innocent had everything to fear, mostly from the guilty but in the longer term even more from those who say things like 'The innocent have nothing to fear'.

Hey blind people, what is the recommended accessible format for distributing text-only content? So that a short text of a couple hundred words is browsable, searchable and the structure is understandable?

Am I correct is assuming that a well-structured PDF with all the titles set correctly would do the trick? Or is there some secret file format that is much better suited?

The document is intended to be distributed as downloadable file, not as a website.

(Sighted people feel free to boost but for the love of everything please do not try to answer)

If "AI" worked they'd be using it, not selling it.

I.E. if it did what they claimed it would be proprietary secret sauce, not "come use this for free so we can figure out what it might be good for". Still, in 2026.

Remember when blockchain was going to have a zillion world-changing uses, real soon now? Same guys, they pivoted.

Me: after Wayside School, do you want to read another funny book or an adventure book?
7yo: adventure!
Me: about people, or about animals?
7yo: animals! CUTE animals!
Me: great! I know of a book about some mice and squirrels--
7yo: THOSE AREN'T CUTE!

so ... anyone happen to know of any Redwall-style animal stories about bees, caterpillars, or moths?

I remember the times when I was into Dilbert. Even liked that cartoon adaptation they did.

With Scott Adams' fall from grace and his death today, Dilbert will get cast off into the land of comic strip obscurity, to be something people remember existing and that's it

It's never gonna be remembered fondly like a Calvin & Hobbes, it's never gonna get reran like a Peanuts, it's not even gonna get a modern reboot like Nancy.

It'll be a Jeopardy clue nobody gets right in 5 years.

I believe that the main reason people believe ChatGPT is intelligent is that we correlate speech with intelligence. If someone speaks confidently and uses big words, then they're seen as intelligent. ChatGPT is literally a machine designed to speak well, so people think it's intelligent, even tho it doesn't actually think, it just mimics.

This also applies to tech CEOs, politicians, etc.

LLMs can't stop making up software dependencies and sabotaging everything

Hallucinated package names fuel 'slopsquatting'

1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but
2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but
3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So
4. Now the LLM code points to malware.
