@evie you got this. Good vibes >>>
@oct2pus I suppose how one would feel about that would depend mostly on how they think of how Homestuck turned out in the end.
ska sucks

@cdmnky no, no, this is good. Accept it. Don't address them as SPFL news, ask the intern running the account how they're doing. Humanize the person, not the faceless corporate entity. I'm curious to see how far they'll go.
@oct2pus I never really got into Homestuck but it always seemed like they originally had a decent idea for a "rpg elements IRL" webcomic and then they just abandoned that almost entirely for a completely different direction. Why? Eh, they probably got bored with the original ideas, which they dropped very shortly into the webcomic and then never returned to.
@cdmnky This isn't even the worst instance of this I've seen. People gobble up posts from the Wendy's account because the person running it is sassy. It's become the Next Big Thing in marketing, to try to get "consumers" on board with anthropomorphizing big companies and organizations.
I hate it. One of the reasons I have never had and will never have a twitter account.
@cdmnky Hell world detail: some underpaid intern or corporate goon posts on social media as some institutional organization in an attempt to humanize these organizations.
@cooler_ranch Look, you have an option of at least 20 different doctors to talk to through your computer. I don't see what the problem is.

There's a fantastic essay on the place of relationships in anarchism that I think people should read.

I'm not really much of one for academics in anarchy. I feel like a focus on academics and institutional philosophy results in an over-reliance on jargon which makes communicating ideas to other people more difficult. I tell you this to convey my own understanding of anarchism, rather than to try to say that my way is the only "real" anarchism.
@garfiald All I have is a winch and a 30 gallon compressed air tank. The winch is battery powered and the air tank doesn't have a compressor.
My plan is for us to team lift the 30 gallon tank, after filling it elsewhere, and then chucking it at bryn. The winch will act as an anchor. Note the winch is not attached to anything else.
Alright, so I've decided to binge She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and I'm extremely impressed with how well the show deals with complex issues. Relationships, how people interact with each other, how someone can hurt people they care about, all wrapped up in a show heavily influenced by an interest in our role in the impending apocalypse. Very engaging stuff.
The show even explores the rationale and driving forces behind the "bad guys" past "here's what mean thing bad guy is doing new"
@garfiald I feel like I've gained a better understanding of one of my partners.
@wilbr In a consumer or residential context, I'd agree. I picked the lock to my own door just to see how hard it was once. It was literally as easy as tensioning the cylinder and sticking a pick in. It didn't matter what I did with the pick. I suspect a zip tie would have done the trick.
But in an enterprise context, pentesting and the like, the lock is often one of the last avenues of attack.
@pinkosock Hey, I made a thing for you.

Gotta keep your bongs ordered. Disordered bongs are no good.
Annika is a cute gay shark

Anarchist. Cat. Anarkat. White Cis Male. Don't worry, I'll die eventually. Polyamorous & pansexual. Sometimes I say dumb stuff. When that happens, tell me. I'll figure it out.
Location? Idunno. The walls are grey and plain, and it's difficult to get to. Could be a bunker. Or a suburb. Hard to tell.
I drive. A lot. Many attempts have been made on my life by whatever spirit is behind bad drivers, but I'm still around.
