Found a lovely, mint condition, new in box white Gigabyte GZ-X1 case circa 2007 to build my new computer in. This is the first time I have a case that has all the standoffs and all the screws match because they're the ones that came with the case. It's an incredible get to have found this vintage new and I'm thrilled.

In my opinion, this is the true sleeper PC. Something that has IEEE1394 on the front panels but houses something from the DDR4 era. If you bring a beige eMachines to a modern LAN party people will immediately know you messed with it, and that's not what "sleeper" means.

Has anyone ever bought the knockoff Lego sets from aliexpress? I don't mean the generic stuff but rather the listings that straight up copy a set, like this T1 camper van which is a copy of a discontinued Creator set. I'm tempted to get it because it's a tenth of the price for a used one of this set on ebay and I was wondering about the quality. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005731929015.html

We recently got a fairly cheap dehydrator that works better than expected and we're having a lot of fun tossing things into it. Turns out cucumber slices crisp up really easily and become weirdly sweet. Healthy snacks!

You need to stop using Chrome NOW. It’s not hyperbole: Google just rolled out a change to Chrome that tracks the sites you visit, builds a profile, and shares that with any page you visit that asks.

This is real. It’s not tech bro conspiracy shit.

i'm running archlinux32 on a T42 using xf86-video-ati and mesa-amber, are the GL vertex glitches anything i can do something about?

never quite understood what's so bad about necrobumping forum threads. do you want the information there to just die? not every reply to a thread needs to/can be spun into a new thread
