tf joke

@lizardsquid New display name should you get bored of this one.

tabs, an experiment

@lizardsquid Good luck with that, I don't know how you'd do it.

I noticed in my own efforts to keep tabs within the icons-still-show-in-the-tabs stage I eventually ended up bookmarking articles to a folder for later reading. I know full well that I'll never look into that folder for reading material, but it seems to satisfy my "I'll get to it" urge enough that I can close the tab and forget about it.

tf joke

@lizardsquid So are you now lizardlizardsquid?

Or maybe lizard²squid?

I think if anything is going to cause an AI uprising it will be because of AIs being used by people who don't understand computers, so they think every problem is "because of a virus" and they'll eventually manage to accumulate ~30 useless toolbars onto the AI's virtual retina.

tf joke

@lizardsquid I thought you already were a lizard.

I must not be getting the joke, sorry. :P

@turbodragon This reminds me of character creation sliders and how when I come into contact with a bunch of them the majority end up at one extreme or the other.

I love making monstrosities.

USpol

@Zero_Democracy With all the stuff I've heard of U.S. Republicans over the years I'm not expecting enlightenment beyond the ability to replace a lightbulb anymore.

i kinda wish there was a way to say "i see what you said and appreciate it" without tying it into the "likes"/"favorites" thing that places use, because at the same time those tend to encourage popularity contests / feelings of inadequacy (e.g. if post x gets y likes but post z gets < y likes, it was bad)

blah

(-)

I feel like I don't know enough about anything to be interesting to anyone.

@Xkeeper Oh, I very much agree with this.

It's not like I use faves consistently for stuff I like either. I also use it for "I want you to know I've seen this, but I don't have anything worthwhile to say". It also depends on the person and what I'm feeling like at the time. I'm fairly certain other people do similar things.

Probably the inadequacy you're talking about, but I feel like it's eroding my trust that people will read my stuff.

Hope that makes sense, brain's turned mush. I'm tired.

I've written probably ~1200 words today and I'm not done yet. This entry is going to be long.

self-positivity, to help my mental health

@lizardsquid I can confirm that.

Good morning. I have the polymascotfoamalate jingle stuck in my head at the moment.

@lizardsquid I should make a habit of getting out of bed a bit earlier anyway. If I do I might see you in the morning.

*Wraps wings around. Is hugged in a wriggly manner (wrigglyly maybe? I don't know.) I might fall asleep during...zzz...*

See you tomorrow (probably)

@lizardsquid Yay, you're awake, good morning!

It's a shame to me the timezones work out so poorly (past 1 am here), since you're currently one of the highlights of my day.
