@heytanuki@snouts.online Yeah apparently it's because of the way USB and PS/2 actually handle data.

If I've read this right, and if it's correct, USB is "Poll" based, so it basically blips on the regular, constantly, or something, and PS/2 is Interrupt based, so it literally is silent until a key is pressed, whereupon it goes "YO THIS KEY GOT PRESSED, RESPOND" to the BIOS and the Bios either goes "yah k reading you loud and clear" or "fuck, sorry, someone else interrupted me, what'd you say?"

also fucked up that ps2 keyboard and ps/2 keyboard are not the same thing

me: *does a little more research on mechanical keyboards* ...oh. ps/2 keyboards are still a thing?... ...?? and... can natively do n-key rollover?? Really???
...

...??? Do... do I have to go back to ps/2 keyboards again??

@Ivafakename "mid-afternoon" is also a thing

...but what about the MIDDLE of the midday?

Midmidday? :O

@mavica I couldn't kick an ass if my life depended on it i'll be honest.

I'm So Meta

@mavica I literally stared at this for several moments before going "MAVICA OH MY GOD". which of course, meant i was required to fav and boost it.

@myconidiosyncrasy okay like I know this is a shitpost but you're 100% correct, and thank you for saying it.

....Guardian Tales has a character who is literally an Isekai protagonist but she's stuck in the world of Guardian Tales and Reality has Ensued and she's become a badass because she had to survive through ungodly amounts of shit

@cozykaffe@snouts.online slick Spirited Away reference

Me: *has to get up early in the morning so sets an alarm and tries to go to bed early and get a good night's uninterrupted sleep*
My brain:

hmhm...

what if i played staxel?
