The Devil stared at the dusty pirate crew, cutlasses and shovels brandished in trembling hands, in the center of Her throne room.
She was used to pirates; many often came through Her gates. Usually they were dead.
"Explain," she commanded.
"Err..." gulped a young Aeta woman who'd volunteered with the aid of a hearty shove, "We heard of a great treasure, buried with the bones of the Captain who had acquired it all. We followed a map."
