@shaderphantom I miss the control over your own experience that came with IRC

@softgoat Looks like if you copy them to a microSD card it will actually just dump a jpeg on there

This signal is so dirty but at least it's readable, I guess.

My preferred RF cable doesn't seem to be working so I'm using a Nintendo one and oh no

@jeffalyanak I heard they're very inefficient and get very hot.

I don't intend on having kids but I'm still all for preserving retro hardware. In retro game communities I'm always condemning wrong-voltage parts and such.

@XerTheSquirrel Yeah running your own software on it is probably the most interesting thing you could do, and I'd feel way more confident releasing something I wrote to the world if I can verify it works on the real thing, too.

@XerTheSquirrel I kinda want one though I realize they're also $$$$$. Aside from my Commodore 64 I've got a TRS-80 Coco. I haven't really found a great use for either, but that's probably due to me not getting an adapter to load programs on from a computer yet.

I recently bought orange juice concentrate specifically to make Orange Julius but I just found that I don't have vanilla extract. I guess I'll have to get some next time.

Now that I've gone through my closet I wanna hook up my Commodore 64, though I'll have to find the power cables.

Shouldn't be hard to find, they're ginormous. :p

My closet is now actually usable! I can navigate it instead of awkwardly reaching over boxes or temporarily moving them out of the way.

@woob That's surprising, I really enjoy fuji. I primarily buy fuji and gala since they've been consistently good.

@XerTheSquirrel I've gone to IndyFurCon the past two years and that's an obvious application for using costume stuff. Though, if I had my choice I'd probably go all the way to getting a partial~. Maybe once I've been able to find a job and I can save up.

I still have a huge amount of neon green fluff I want to fashion into some sort of costume stuff. It'd be really cool to have a tail though I honestly don't know if I'd be confident enough to wear it most places.

Finally cleaning out my closet somewhat after it's been absolutely full of boxes for years

My girlfriend is a ginormous nerd and this is one of the programs she sent me when she was trying to teach herself C++ before she started college

For getting Nova the Squirrel's box/label art drawn, I realized that stuff you intend to print probably should be much higher resolution than something you'll just display on a screen, but then remembered that NES cartridge labels are just so small (55x97 mm) that regular art resolutions are fine anyway.

Once upon a time before I settled on NES for my large platformer project (Nova the Squirrel) I tried a whole bunch of other platforms, including MegaZeux here.

I really should try playing with MegaZeux again and make something small.

@Saxxon Honestly sentient tails are awesome for providing you with someone you can cuddle and be affectionate with any time, and they're so adorable.
