I always have a bunch of random tabs open in my phone browser since I rarely intentionally use it except when I'm winding down and moving off my laptop to sleep soon, and there's a lot of "eh I'm not awake enough for this, I'll leave it for later" but then I don't get to it later :p

@maple @Chel It felt like I suddenly had tons of stuff to explore and discover again when I first hopped on. And most importantly, tons more types of green blocks.

For giggles I added a mode that lets you swap tiles in your Dr.Mario playfield like you're playing Puzzle League.
It'd probably make sense to have as a powerup that allows you to do one swap to fix one bad placement, though having it freely available in its own mode is nice for a more relaxing game too.

lonely

I feel really alone even though there's a lot of people who are willing to interact, I guess since I can't figure out anything substantial to do.

Sometimes I wish I could be like my friends that are always drowning in people poking them or getting invited to stuff. Sometimes I try to copy what they're doing and it doesn't help.

@maple er, for 0x10c. But misremembering the name to be the name of the computer really hints at that I remembered about it haha.

@maple This was part of why I was excited for DCPU-16 when it was still going to be a thing because it seemed like programming the computers was going to be a big part of it. And I was just going to have a spaceship that was a big arcade.

@Chel I deal with joy2key all the time for games that don't support DirectInput

@wigglytuffitout I roleplayed for years on IRC so 500 characters works fine for me for most posts. Now the people who roleplay on Twitter on the other hand, especially back when it was 140 characters...

Garbage is in and should be working. I guess this means versus mode is done?

Job seeking

I applied to ALDI! Hopefully that works out. It was very non-stressful and fast.

After getting my bed sheets changed I seem to have put an end to the problem where sheets would get pushed over and leave mattress exposed, which drove me nuts. Good riddance.

Also unlike Tetris I think it's completely legally safe as long as you avoid trademark infringement, because Nintendo actually patented Dr. Mario (instead of trying to insist game rules are copyrightable) and their patent expired.

It's amusing to me that the most modern Dr. Mario implementation for NES (it's got hard drops and ghost pieces now) will just be a minigame thrown into a platformer over a few days. Though unlike Tetris it doesn't really get the same treatment of a bunch of clones on the same platform anyway so there's no competition.

Job seeking

I have a little job fair thing I'm going to tomorrow and I'm nervous about it. I sorta wish I had a job already so I could have this over with.

My house is full of people playing Melee so I can hear tons of joystick clicking downstairs.

Food photo

Orange Julius, the drink where I consume half a cup of sugar but it tastes so good

I should think up some sort of optional twist for my Dr. Mario clone that makes it more interesting than just cloning it exactly. Something that puts my personality into it somehow.

Food

Even though I can just cook my own homemade pizza whenever I want, I still find myself wanting to taste (surprisingly) Little Caesars again.

My Dr. Mario clone has playfield generation implemented now so the core of the game's done.
