I was just out running an errand and drove by a pileated woodpecker on a telephone pole. I didnβt have my camera but stopped and snapped a pic through my windshield. Just as I was ready the woodpecker moved. Itβs not a good pic β¦ Cβest la vie. π

Definitely, but it's not always up to me. She mimics the phone ringing, microwave, etc, because she hears it. And when she first got here, what she repeated to herself was "Scooter! No! Ow! My parrot, Scooter The Gray, loves crows. When I take her outside she watches for them, calls to them, and nothing thrills her more than having one call back.
I think birds are fascinating, and I love watching them, even when they're loud (like Scooter)
This model is probably the great grandchild of the one we bought in 2008, when hubs decided to go back to college and become an RN. It worked through his college, and it's still working now, just sitting there, doing what it's supposed to, without a hiccup or complaint.

Someone pointed out that 3 or more crows is called a murder of crows. Since I only had 2, it was just attempted murder.

I love/hate this story.
I like the idea of getting of crows become my friends by leaving them nuts. But I think of the downsides. They scream at you!
Or, let's say you get picked up for questioning by the cops.
The cop asks you, "You're hanging out with all these crows..."
