@StillIRise1963 Garland was a terrible choice. seems like we get confirmation of that all the time.
20 years ago I bought a dwarf banana tree. The tagg said height wouldn't exceed 6'. The tag lied, and I have a grove of 9' tall banana trees.
The first blossoms on my Japanese rose (kerria japonica). The tag on this plant said it would grow to 4βx4β, and I imagined it would take some time to reach that size, but itβs already that big after one year and I think the tag lied to me. Iβll prune at the end of summer, after enjoying the flowers

I'm just grateful they're slow and careful. Imagine how many phone books they have to sit on to see over the dashboard.

She didn't even crack a hint of a smile. Just... said this like it was real.
Babe, I hope you are getting your pay upfront for this gig because it might be hard to find work after telling lies like this with a dead-serious face. #twitter #yaccarino #ElonMusk
The only way they abandon TFG is if they decide he isn't vile, racist, or xenophobic enough for MAGA.
They're the dregs of the dregs of humanity.
SURPRISING: Anti-Trump sentiment spreading on Truth Social
Truth Social may not be the conservative, safe space the former president was seeking.
(Is the MAGA cult waking up???)

They can scrub all they want, they're never going to get that stench or that orange stain off.

#ThrowBackThursday to 2008 when my friends mom had passed away a few months prior and we wanted to cheer him up so we arrived at his door dressed like Barry Gibb and Barbra Streisand from the Guilty album.

I have many cashmere sweaters, because it feels fantastic. I also have many silk shirts, and I typically buy wool/silk or wool/cashmere blend coats. And I bought a wool lounge sweater from Ireland that is very soft and warm.
I love winter, because I can wear sweaters.
@miaoue @foo @actuallyautistic Yeah, completely agree on soft clothes. Linen feels fabulous to me, but itβs hard to find stuff that I really really like.
Does anyone have any recommendations for how to find sensory friendly clothing? Or options that have worked well for you?
I recently read a (fiction) book where one of the characters reflects on the difference between 'nice' and 'kind'.
Nice is what you do when other people are watching. Kind is what you do when no one is watching, and there's nothing in it for you.
I liked that.
I'd donate to that GoFundMe. And the following one, to get them airline tickets to go.
Sometimes I feel like a robot trying to learn how to use my robot hands. I've got as far as being able to pick up an egg without breaking it. But everyone time I try to hold someone's hand in a comforting way, they get hurt somehow and recoil in horror π£
For anyone that struggles with metaphors, the robot is me, and my attempt to hold someone's hand is me trying to form supportive friendships with new people.
