Paramount has cancelled Star Trek: Prodigy and will shop the second season to another network.

Prodigy was a fantastic show with fun characters that could have brought Star Trek to a new audience. Cancelling the show was a dumb move designed to cut short-term costs at the expense of long-term growth.

First was Titanic. Next was Titan. So I guess if the pattern follows, don’t get on any vessels named Tit.

I dated someone like that.

I wash my hands with green apple soap before taking a sip of my sour apple energy drink. Matt Damon shoves a piece of paper against the window. Yells "HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES?" I tell him I like them fine. He seems content. Once again Matt Damon has been placated. Our children will see another sunrise.

I had no idea this standard was that old.
Now I'm wondering why they call it a "U"?
Unit?

Happy birthday to the 19" equipment rack, which turns 100 next month. From the July, 1923, Bell Systems Technical Journal: "All panels are to be of a uniform length, designed to mount on vertical supports spaced 19>< inches between centers. The height of the different panels will vary, according to the amount of apparatus in each unit, but this vertical dimension is in all cases to be a whole multiple of 1-3/4 inches."(p139 at archive.org/details/bstj2-3-11 )

I did my own investigation, and results are in - they should have asked more questions before they shelled out $250K for a trip in a DIY sub. It's not like they were fleeing death squads and had no choice but to get in the sub.

Sorry but have no time with relatives of the Titan’s crew calling for an investigation into the lack of certification.

The submersible operates in international waters and all were adults. They were thrill seekers and got caught out.

Just an unfortunate waste of money searching for them. The company knew there was a hope but wasn’t up front with authorities

A relationship is like a thorny rose. No, more like a fence. Yes, like an electrified fence. No, more like a barbed wire fence. Which is also electrified. Patrolled by Rottweilers which haven’t eaten in a week. And killer robots.
NO WAIT: KILLER ROBOT ROTTWEILERS!

Anyway, a relationship is like that.

Google maps is my friend. If it's a store I'm new to/not comfortable with, I do a virtual visit on Google maps. They usually have lots of photos of the interior and exterior of the store, and I can get a clear picture of it before I go in. If the store has a website, I can visit that and get an idea of the products they sell, cross-referencing it to the photos, so I know where things are put. It makes everything easier.
