Everyone knows microwaves are used for covert surveillance.

No problem.
I didn't block them. Yes, they're trolls, but they're pathetically bad trolls. Pity was the most they inspired in me.
I have enjoyed past discussions debating that kind of topic, but they can't get anywhere unless everyone agrees that words mean things, and it's important to know what they mean before you use them.

This isn't going to be productive for either one of us. You aren't interested in learning what you're trying to talk about, and I'm not interested in teaching you. I'm going to end this here.

That's completely inane, shallow thinking - and it's comparing apples to motorbikes.
Communism is an economic system, as is socialism and capitalism. Nazism is a political ideology.

When cutting wood on a tablesaw, you have to adjust the feed rate and blade speed, or it can damage the wood. We were having trouble at work dicing the wafers - getting edge chipouts and cracks. In the meeting I flashed to my tablesaw, and the difference between feeding it soft pine or white oak, started asking questions and - hey, that's the problem, new crystal format.

I've had stronger reactions to things like that, as I've gotten older. On weekends I have a route I walk for exercise, and there are a lot of black beetles out this year - all the rain has boosted their population, I think. I stagger down the sidewalk, avoiding stepping on the beetles because, hey, they're alive, too.

That connects to my experience. I once resolved an issue at work, dealing with monocrystalline wafers, by connecting it to my hobby of woodworking.
Hey, don't laugh, there are similarities in processing.

In my case, I think I am a visual thinker - or maybe a sensory thinker. I see, hear, and feel things, and they're very vivid, whether they're memories or imagination.

That sort of puts stepping on a Lego into perspective. My whole body clenched when I read that.
My memories aren't neatly stacked, they're all suspended alone, but with a myriad of links and connections to each other that probably only make sense to me. I can read a sentence fragment in a post, and suddenly I'm in 1972, watching a Brady Bunch episode, because the phrasing or tone reminded me of what Jan said in that one episode...

I used to do the same thing, without realizing it. I couldn't wear skinny jeans, or zip up a pair of knee-high boots I got for a costume, because my calves were too big. I also started wearing boots, because it's impossible to walk that way.
The day @KevBot and I both became βfully vaxxedβ in May of 2021, we went out to this restaurant with a patio for our first public dining experience in over a year.
It was cold AF but we were just happy to be βfreeβ and we took a photo of each other to commemorate the moment.
This resulted in us starting a tradition of taking photos wherever weβd go and I kept compiling them into 9x9 grids until I got up to 144 photos and was finally like okay, Alice, thatβs enough.
I realize itβs ridiculously excessive, but weβd spent the prior year not even knowing if weβd ever be able to go to a restaurant again and we didnβt know how long it was going to last, so we were just trying to take advantage of it while we could.

Iβm sex positive, a tired activist, a lover of bdsm and retro video games, a life-long student of marginalised thinking, and in every little thing I do thereβs some art and caring to be found.
Iβm here to show art and nsfw stuff, and build my own little utopia of the anti-normative.
