โNo Labelsโ has a label. And that label is โfront for electing more Republicans financed by wealthy Republicans.โ

This whole thing about nuclear trains reminds me of something I got caught up in a while ago. I'm a Trekkie, and I ran across a diagram of a starbase, with dimensions (based on size in relationship to ship, etc.). I started a spreadsheet, it got more and more complex.
Those things are HUGE. 2,000 acres of parkland. Hundreds of millions of square feet in deck space. Nominal population of over 2,000,000 people, and that's with low population density. I still have it, somewhere.
A big part of masking is often eating things you don't actually like in my experience. NT people can get really angry if you don't eat something they made, and often are aggressive if you split up food and only eat parts.
Eating is often a very sensitive topic, and for many people is often a very stressful time. If it isn't for you, please try to remember to always be careful and think about what you say.
On top of that, a lot of people love focusing on food when gathering together. Going out for coffee, a dinner-date, and the movies, are just a few examples. This may be excluding some people who get stressed in these types of situations, so it might be a good idea to keep other ideas/suggestions ready.
Welcome to #TransTuesday!
Iโve put this one off for actual years because I just didnโt feel able to discuss it. But now I do! Maybe? I dunno, letโs find out together as we talk FINDING OUR TRANS STYLE.
For trans people who transition as adults, figuring out our style can be a giant puzzle. It was certainly that way for me.

Singing is a big one for me, too. It relaxes me, and gets my mind off whatever is bothering me. But only when no one else is in the house.
Hi all! I don't know if I have any teacher friends on here (though if not maybe you know teachers!) but I'm trying to collect questions about AI (especially ethical/social implications) from kids and teenagers that I can answer. I have a feeling they will have very good questions that everyone can learn from. :) So help me out and share this with someone who might be talking to kids about this stuff? #ai #teachers https://forms.gle/61g8iSYswEZtZZGe9

I'm loving all the "this is the new normal" coverage.
No, it's not. This is the transition phase. The new normal is going to be WAY worse than this.
@ned call me old fashioned, but if my kids couldn't tell me something as important as who they are, and what they need to feel comfortable, I'd consider myself a failure as a parent and as a human being.
Your notes to yourself in the paper made me chuckle.

Oh, yes. Especially the part about "some of them were strangers"
I'd have done my very best to be "on". Even if it was fun, it would still be exhausting.
I think I explained that badly, so I'll try again.
Everything I do is planned out, and mentally rehearsed, even a trip to the grocery store. If something changes - a road is blocked off, the store re-arranged, *anything* - it short-circuits me until I can re-map. Until I found out I was autistic, I thought everyone did that, but no, it's just me and people like me, and other people don't get how much it throws me off. They see it as no big deal, for me it's epic.
I don't know your daughter, so I can't be certain, but...
"trigger at the moment seems to be disappointment. If she doesnโt get what she wants"
A trigger I've had to learn to deal with is having plans change, with no notice. It's not "not getting what I want", it's "I planned for this, went over everything mentally, had it all laid out, and suddenly things are back in disarray - an unknown". Unknown is scary, and blank.
Kyle Rittenhouse is being sued by the estate of the mentally disturbed man Rittenhouse shot four times and killed.
Rittenhouseโs response:
โThese lawsuits are making it harder and harder for me to move on with my lifeโ
The amount of cope white men feel after doing something horrible could power a city
Do you know what else makes it hard to move on with your life?
Being murdered
