Ooh, a thing I forgot to mention about my time in Pokémon White yesterday! When I got to Accumula Town, I was *jammin'*! I literally pulled out my keyboard and started playing along. Then when I found the house with the musicians? Oh, that was fun. I fuckin' love that music. It's so good. Also, furrets.
And, yeah, that type advantage thing? I literally cleared a gym using a Pokémon that was 8 levels underlevel. By the end of it, it was only, like, 4 levels under. My only reasonably leveled Pokémon is my throh, which I only ever intended to use to clear out a normal type gym, but kept around. But, hey, my team has, like, full type coverage, so who cares if we're a bit weak, right?

Honestly, I actually referred to the way N keeps literally telling me how to stop him as "foreplay for the world's most elaborate S&M session". Like, it feels like he's kinda begging me to beat him like a naughty boy, which is unfortunate for him because I'm also a masochist. But, hey, it beating you in a Pokémon battle is what gets you off, so be it. I'll do it for you, boyfriend.
talking about liberalist bullshit
You know, the "marketplace of ideas" is pretty accurate.
Just not how liberalists think it's working, because holy shit... do they know how anything works?
Because on a marketplace, not the goods that have the best quality get bought most.
It's the one who yells the loudest, that their good are best quality (even if they're shotty quality), because that's how human psyche work
Same with the "marketplace of ideas"
who screams the loudest, wins
@ijyx As for the other two, if Arabic doesn't seem interesting to you right now, maybe just wait on that one, and I honestly don't think Esperanto is *that* worth learning. I mean, it's sorta nifty, but also kinda meh.
@ijyx I actually took Spanish in high school and later tried to learn Esperanto, and I'd honestly say knowing Spanish made Esperanto easier. Granted, this is from the perspective of Spanish being the first language (after my native English, ofc) I'd learned, and Esperanto being the second. At any rate, I'd say go for either Spanish (for its usefulness), Dutch (for actually being in the Netherlands), or French (for its interest to you and your previous knowledge)
Neat website with local alternative resources to calling the police.
old notes, talking about birdsite
A fun thing in response to twitter's whole "we're gonna decentralize" thing from last year:
"Also, Jacky boi over on the birbsite has decided to decentralized twitter. Oh
yay. Is he gonna EEE activitypub? Is he gonna use teh blockchains? I don't know,
and I don't care. Have fun, Jack. Try not to break your primary source of income
too badly."
I love it. "Try not to break your primary source of income too badly." LOL.
old notes, past mh (-)
On a different day, after had I started buspar, I forgot to take it.
"TIL my anxiety meds are actually fucking working! Unfortunately, I learned this in the stupidest way possible. I am currently having a fucking panic attack. Help."
old notes, sui ment
Same day, I remark about needing to improve my distress tolerance skill to deal with, say, "news outlets not understanding the idea that *including explicit suicide instructions in the news stories is a very bad idea*". I remember that. It was a story complaining about how that kinda thing could be found on youtube, but they literally *included a quote of instructions in the fucking blurb*. That's right. I didn't even open the article and had to see it. for fuck's sake.
old notes
Over spring break in 2019, I went on a walk one day, and managed to get a cat outside CRB to let me pet it. This was an accomplishment, as this cat previously wouldn't let me near it. But, he let me pet him that day. He purred. I was happy.
old notes
In one note, I realized that Hydrotennessic acid could be a thing (assuming you could get Tennessine to stay around long enough to form it). I also noted the same for Hydroastatic acid, aka HAt.
I also, on this day, asked my chem professor if hydroastatic acid would be weak or strong. According to him, we don't know because astatine is so unstable, but it's probably a strong acid. So, there's a fun chemistry fact for ya!
old notes, with some maybe lewd
A fun quote:
"Trees are free money (if you ignore the £100,000 pounds [sic] you're gonna spend on seeds)."
Not quite sure of the context. NerdCubed stream, maybe? The Spiffing Brit? Not sure.
Also:
"Mountain Dew VOLTAGE. Grr! Gamer! Rah!"
And:
"Feeling: Horny. Again. Gods, I need a boyfriend."
What is my gods damned sexuality?! Am I ace or not?! This suggests no.
old notes
Okay, I'll be nice, thread them and keep them under this CW. Two other things from this note:
1) I get confused about my spell checker recognizing "chem" "SIGSEGV" and "segfault" but not "kitsune". I also wonder what a Vulpecula is, as that was suggested for Vulpes.
2) I then learned that Vulpecula is a faint constellation in the northern sky whose name is Latin for "little fox".
Okay, you know what, I'm just gonna keep sharing stuff from these old notes. I have a remark about wonder if it's possible for a human to segfault, then correct myself to kitsune and ask if it's possible for a kitsune to segfault. So, clearly, the kitsunekin thoughts aren't the newest things.
I then go on to wonder if maybe I'm just a robot, with the remark "maybe everyone else was right."
