isolation and stigmatization would definitely do more harm tho. Like, who's in charge of "stopping" them and how? Treat them and approach them on a personal basis would do better as a rehabilitative solution. Criminalizing and marginalizing is not only inhumane, but also damaging to everyone.

As many probably seen already, there are spam bots invading the fediverse and it's not by accident.
It's an attack on the fediverse!
The ones I found were placed there on purpose.
Instances who already have a bad rep by being a certain type (tech based instance or pleroma instance)
The goal it to fragment the fediverse by using it's own mechanics.
Best way to protect yourself, is to make regs invite only or have them need be approved.
