@b9AcE k
@b9AcE Well it's never too late to learn self-care ;)
@b9AcE Don't ever apply these concepts of oppression Olympics on either yourself or other people. It's neither good for you nor the others. The community is meant to be inclusive and shelter others and expand, making us the new norm, not some sort of exclusive club only for the "most oppressed."
@b9AcE A lot us question our identities during our upbringing. It's a very common queer experiences. Best thing to do is to share them and find people who you can build the community with. And stay away from any form of gatekeeping
@danishcookies Indeed. "Queer" is s the word I would call myself.
Thanks!
@b9AcE your experience is always valid
@b9AcE And even without all these experiences, as long as you aren't heterosexual heteroromantic cisgender perisex you're part of the queer community
@b9AcE Never put yourself down like that. Just because you've never directly experienced it isn't a burden to you. The very fact that your identity was erased and trivialized by your own family members, making you hesistant to proudly display your identity in public spaces is more than enough reason to call it "coming out"
I have found it surprising that others didn't know about it before, so...
"Wolfe Video" is a super-nice distributor of exclusively LGTBQ+ themed movies:
https://www.wolfevideo.com/
"Dead Men Don't Rape" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoHYvxPMmUE and "No Fucking War" are two other super-excellent tracks by "7 Year Bitch".
I couldn't find the latter online, so I transcoded it for you in this post.
Speaking of the band "7 Year Birch", I would recommend the movie "Prey for Rock & Roll" from 2003,
with such excellent cast members as Gina Gershon, Shelly Cole, Lori Petty and Drea de Matteo.
As usual, don't watch the trailer. It's... yuck.
