I guess the closest equivalent I've experienced to USA's "Pledge of Allegiance" school-indoctrination is when the school year was nearing ending and we were training to sing the "national anthem" for the graduation ceremony,
but when we asked "what if I don't want to 'live and die in the Nordic Countries' as the lyrics go?",
the answers from all teachers I recall were along the lines of "well, you can just... sit and not sing that then" and almost always there were kids loudly interjecting an objection in that line, so it became "Yes, I do NOT(!!!) want to live and die in the Nordic Countries!"... and that was fine too.

11-year-old was suspended, arrested and taken to a "juvenile detention center" (child jail)... after refusing to stand for "Pledge of Allegiance"

Recent paper shaking things up! Xiphosura, or horseshoe crabs (fig1), as the sister group to arachnids, which is to say that whatever animal all arachnids evolved from, its closest relative was the ancestor of horseshoe crabs.

This new analysis suggests that XIphosura is actually nested within arachnids and their closest relatives are the Ricinulei (Fig2).

This new placement means that either there was multiple terrestrialization events for arachnids OR horseshoe crabs are a terrestrial lineage that returned to the water.
