I've done a couple of fictitious landscapes already, just need to get off my ass and buy some fruit, flowers, and go outside

Sometimes the best self care is doing that hard thing you've been putting off.

gave myself summer painting homework

1 landscape (painted outdoors)
1 landscape (fictitious)
1 flower painting
1 fruit painting

thought I could make tiny watercolor illustrations and blow them up but,...it might make more sense to make larger illustrations to shrink down :blobthinking:

Make a to-do list if you're feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes it helps to break things down into smaller pieces.

Protect your schedule, including the empty time.

Novel, new, silly, & unusual activities can help lift your mood.

How To Train Your Dragon: Race to the Edge | S5 spoilers?

by accident, I've jumped into Season 5 of How to Train Your Dragon: Race to the Edge (netflix) without watching the other 4 seasons first and...

pros: *LOTS of new dragons with COOL abilities

cons: *it's SURPRISINGLY dark???
*the backgrounds feel too vague and look rushed, especially forest scenes
*something is off about Astrid's model...maybe it's her eyes??

Create something for no practical purpose such as a song, a poem, an essay, a painting, a drawing, a comic strip, a collage, etc.

Pride month is over, welcome to Pride month 2: electric boogaloo

they way my work schedule is usually laid out leaves me with a Thursday-Saturday kind of weekend so today has a very "Sunday" kinda vibe to it

ahhh, a nice cloudy/rainy day, the mechanic sound of the washing machine, and the smell of fresh laundry :blobmelt:

work | neg

So my schedule has been part time early morning shifts and now I'm suddenly supposed to switch to double the hours (aka full-time) night shifts for a week.... 😑 Not ok 💢

zoology | tortoises/turtles | mind blown?

ok, so, invertebrates are known for having an exoskeleton, and no spine

tortoises/turtle shells are the spine and ribcage fused into one big protective...thingy

I know they've still got other bones in them that function as you'd expect them to

but...

does that make them invertebrates? :psyduck:
