rewatching Mob Psycho 100 s1 with the English dub and so far so good

wanna clarify that I'm FULLY aware ANY kind of couple can be problematic and/or toxic, but I don't think I'll ever be convinced this song is about straight ppl ​

super double-checked this time and there are a couple of "his"s and a single "him" at the end

but no "he", "she", or "hers" are ever mentioned

I am extremely disappointed and will continue to sing this song as a mlm song until I die because the singer never mentions a "she" or a "he" so >:P 🖕

if I'm ever reading this song as straight it's as a woman giving her heart to a careless man who regifts it to another woman thinking no one will notice (tl;dr everyone notices & it's super awkward)

it just occurred to me that there are ppl who assume "Last Christmas" by Wham! is straight, specifically that the singer gives his heart to a woman???
