so all the books that were transferred from another library made it to my local branch, and one of the books that was on order arrived
so now I'm waiting on "Ducks" by Kate Beaton and the light novel I put a request order thingy for 📚

Madison Square Garden used facial recognition to identify and stop a mom from attending a Christmas show with her kid because she's an attorney at a firm who is engaged in litigation with them.
This is why it's not enough to just ban government and law enforcement use of #facialrecognition. There are so many ways private companies and even individuals can abuse #biometric #surveillance tech.
#BanFacialRecognition entirely. Yesterday.

Y'all are chasing working artists away from this place by harping on how "sad" and "pathetic" it is for them to hope for a large follower count here.
It's not about attention. It's about their bottom line. More followers means more commissions, more customers in their online shops, more direct exposure to people with hiring power. It's honestly really cruel to keep acting like they want adulation when really they just want to pay rent.
They have ample reason to mourn what they built.

He's the most famous programmer of them all
Just mentioning his name makes other social media tremble and fall
One click-clack of his famous giant keyboard and Tooty's famous 'toot!' would make everyone gather near & far
For none would want to miss his memes, the freshest around, no matter how bizarre
I think more people in North America will get the reference
but hell if I know when people in NA actually check social media because it seems to be whenever I'm not online (weak laugh)

I forgot I haven't been exercising in the past couple of months so I did a few curls and whatever that dumbbell held behind your back thing is called
lol nope it was temporary, I think it's a posture thing, but I've got a foam roller and a yoga mat lets see if some Advanced™ techniques help or hinder
or maybe the acetaminophen I took finally started working, either way

One thing I've noticed from a lot of former Twitter users who joined the platform, is that they're not using the content warning system at all for things like transphobia in the media.
This is not Twitter. Don't treat it like it is. Show some respect for other users who don't have the spoons for such sensitive subjects, please. The content warning can be used to allow people a means of accessing the platform, without feeling like they have to face (c)PTSD from all the hate speech 😓
