@lizardsquid I don't know anything about this sort of thing, but I feel like if you want the people to be in charge you'd have to cut out as much bullshit as possible and make the threshold for voicing one's political opinion as low as you can.

@BatElite yes, and you also need the people in charge to be accountable, and for the people to be able to oust them at a moment's notice

@lizardsquid id also point out that leninism took hold in a country with almost no democratic tradition, so this idea probably seemed more obvious then to someone with anglo-americas democratic values
