*doesn't go onto discord for a day, to reduce stress*
*Comes back and immediately stresses out about all the messages I missed*
@lizardsquid Glad I’m not the only one feeling that way! I can’t use it because of that…
Also there is always too much noise, too many channels, too many servers…
@Kooda it would be less stressful if there was only one channel per server, even if that meant there were many more servers
@lizardsquid That’s basically what every other chat system do, and that’s fine I think. ^^
@lizardsquid you can right-click on a server icon and pick "mark as read", if that helps any.
@Felthry I want to actually read the messages, though...
Discord stuff
@lizardsquid I found Slack to be much worse somehow, and eventually I had to decide that in most channels it just wasn't worth loading any backlog besides what it loads at first. Much of it was vapid.
I don't know why people keep excusing social media for being pretty much abusively manipulative by design.
Glad I left, but for different reasons.
@lizardsquid Seconding strongly.
@A_Staccato_Semibreve *hugsss*
Discord's interface seems intentionally designed to stress you out and also be really annoying if you want to just catch up on all the messages you missed
