it seems to me that each symptom can be just hanging around uniquely, and we only call it a specific thing if you've got enough commonalities.

it's not like a virus, where we can say "this is the virus, and it has these symptoms", it's much more complex...

one of the things I'm doing with dapiica is messing with the boundaries of copulas.

For example, many sentences that require a copula in english (for example "I am interested in fish") instead use a verb in dapiica ( 'kaniputomano', lit. "I fish-interested")

and in other places, the copula is actually a circumclitic: 'ŋiidapiica dacaponoba' "dapiica is a language", with ŋii- and -oba being the copula

LB: as a linguist, I don't judge languages.

As a user of english, though, "to be" is really annoying

there are 2 people on my timeline with very similar icons, and I keep getting them confused and I'm scared that I'll use the wrong name/pronouns for one of them by accident

@melissasage oh, I do use discord and telegram as well, but afaik they just store what you say, they don't store your half-written messages that you erased (fb does that) or your location, and such...

I guess it's still an illusion of privacy, rather than actual proper privacy
