I was going to post something that was musing about differences between real life and internet homes, but then I realised that those differences are probably because I feel uncomfortable in my own home rn

it's actually reasonable - they're trying to make a good static hosting place, they don't want to be inundated with bandwidth requests for viral videos/have to deal with people uploading hollywood movies/etc

it turns out it was timed out because videos aren't allowed on my host

I'm uploading a video to my website, but the video is nearly 200 times the size of the rest of the site combined, and my slow upload speed means that the upload keeps timing out...
