dishonored

I've been playing a whole bunch of dishonored these past couple of days, I forgot how much I liked this game

Have you heard that bad pun about goats?

It was quite capricorny

One of my favourite TTRPG actual play podcasts right now is The Magpies:

magpiespodcast.net/

it's an all-women, all-LGBT+ podcast about a crew of vigilante thieves in the haunted industrial-fantasy city of Duskwall

factorio

every time I play factorio, I get conflicted feelings:

• it's really fun
but also
• it's really colonial

re: doctor who, christmas

(I also hate the entire concept of the christmas specials, and I'm so glad that they've switched to new-years-day specials instead - the constant forcing of christmas theming into doctor who episodes feels... wrong and bad?)

doctor who, christmas

For the past ~2 years, I've always personally thought that The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe is the *worst* of the christmas specials.

But in a recent bonus episode, multiple members of the Doctor Who: Verity! podcast said that it was their favourite! Even the one who hates christmas specials!

So now I'm going to have to go back and re-re-rewatch it, and see what it is I missed.

tetris

saw some footage of tetris 99, and realised that it would confuse me a lot.

I'm so used to TGM's system:
• Fast drop goes instantly to the bottom, does NOT lock the piece
• Slow drop goes slowly down, but DOES lock the piece.

But T99 has the opposite - fast drop locks, slow drop does not.

It would take so much time for me to unlearn that muscle memory

re: DVDs and Behind The Scenes

I forgot blooper reels!

There used to always be a blooper/outtake reel.

re: DVDs and Behind The Scenes

The bluray of Doctor Who series 12 is a really big disappointment to me, because of this.

• There's commentary on the first 3 episodes, and nothing on the 8 others.
• There's a "closer look" for each episode, which is a 5 minute thing which mostly is just clips from the episode and the main cast explaining the narrative, with about 30 seconds total of actual behind the scenes stuff.
• Absolutely nothing else.
