A friend linked me to this cool tabletop rpg - it's only 6 pages long: 1km1kt.net/rpg/wanderlust

(it's somewhat inspired by Apocalypse World, and my only complaint from reading through it is that it makes some assumptions that might not be obvious to newcomers to the ttrpg scene)

non-vegan food

Going out for a burg because I'm too lazy to make proper food (and because Lottie already ate the thing I was planning to eat)

honestly robotic cranes stacking and unstacking useless concrete weights for all eternity is the surreal dieselpunk energy storage solution earth deserves qz.com/1355672/stacking-concre

I wish I could play pubg right now, tbh.... it's been a year, and I miss it

I just remembered this dumb comic idea I had.

Somebody approaches a deer and says, “you play piano, don't you?” The deer responds, “why yes, how did you know?”
“You have the hands of a pianist”
Close-up on the deer's very hoof-like hands.

Good morning!

Snakes

@SilviaFox@sleeping.town They're happy to hear! At least this one is.

(Also very much yes. :D)

Today I wrote a program that takes a tsalagi transcription and puts it in the actual writing system

(there's some weird edge cases, but wikipedia notes that any software that tries to do this will have this issue)

why isn't there a way to block or hide accounts on youtube?

In general, acquaintance is symmetric. That is, if you know someone, they also know you. The exceptions have historically been quite rare. On social media, though, by default acquaintance is not symmetric. Depending on what they post, you can know someone quite well without them even knowing you exist, or vice versa. I think this is where a lot of the problems come from.

What do sea creatures use for public transport?

The nautibus.

Behind the scenes of one of my favourite episodes of New Doctor Who

The episode is midnight, which involves an alien who takes over someone's body and starts repeating back everyone's lines.

(If you haven't seen it, the behind the scenes won't make much sense)

it's really impressive how these actors dealt with the complexities of filming it
